Dead Irons #1 by James Kuhoric. Jason Alexander, and Jae Lee

book coverItem Name & Description: Dead Irons #1 by James Kuhoric, Jason Alexander, and Jae Lee (hardcover).

This is the first volume in a completed series. Description:

Three bounty hunter siblings blaze a path of death and destruction across the old west. Traveling by moonlight they rip criminals screaming for mercy from their hiding places, but none is ever given. Each bounty is torn, broken, and bled dry before they are delivered dead and payment collected in gold – no silver. The Irons are the most feared bounty hunting killers in the west, but that fear isn’t based on them being the fastest with a pistol or rifle. It’s because they’re the Walking Dead.

Galaxy Quest Vox Communicator & Ion Nebulizer

Item Name & Description: Officially-Licensed Galaxy Quest Vox Communicator & Ion Nebulizer

box

Starting Bid: $20

Notes: Calling all Questerians! After years of attending Galaxy Quest conventions (who can forget Questeria 2004? Best ever!), I finally managed to score this amazing Galaxy Quest officially-licensed Ion Nebulizer and Vox Communicator! (Someone said it looks like Cmdr. Taggart’s Nebulizer from the first season, but it might actually be a Dr. Lazarus or Lt. Madison issue – you never see that grip on Taggart’s!) The bad news: the box has been slightly sneezed on by a rock monster, so there’s some mild shelf damage to the bottom and front of the box. (The photo above is the official Pegasus product photo.) The good news: the box is unopened and the items are mint, so if you’ve been hoping to add the finishing touch to your cosplay, or possibly communicate through time and space with NSEA officials trying to save several worlds at once, you are still golden! Fellow Questerians, here’s your chance to support a great cause and show your love for the best TV show EVER at the same time! By Grabthar’s Hammer, by the sons of Warvan, you should totally bid on this.

The Salon by Nick Bertozzi

book cover Item Name & Description: The Salon by Nick Bertozzi (trade paperback).

Here’s the description of this out-of-print graphic novel:

In 1907 Paris, when someone starts tearing the heads off avant-garde painters, Gertrude Stein and her brother, Leo, realize that they might be next on the killer’s list. Enlisting the help of their closest friends and colleagues, Georges Braque, Pablo Picasso, Erik Satie, Alice B. Toklas, and Guillaume Apollinaire, they set out to put a stop to the ghastly murders. Filled with danger, art history, and daring escapes, this is a wildly ingenious murder-mystery ride through the origins of modern art.

Publisher Weekly says it “has a brilliant, daffy premise executed with wit and flair.”

Starting Bid: $10.

Notes: Donated by Ay-leen the Peacemaker (Diana M. Pho). (If you’re reading this on or before February 19, check out Beyond Victoriana’s giveaways to celebrate its fourth anniversary!) Ships anywhere.
