Mira Grant’s INTO THE DROWNING DEEP (signed galley)

Item Name and Description: a signed galley (advance reading copy) of Mira Grant’s INTO THE DROWNING DEEP, forthcoming, November 2017, donated by Orbit.

Seven years ago, the Atargatis set off on a voyage to the Mariana Trench to film a “mockumentary” bringing to life ancient sea creatures of legend. It was lost at sea with all hands. Some have called it a hoax; others have called it a maritime tragedy.

Now, a new crew has been assembled. But this time they’re not out to entertain. Some seek to validate their life’s work. Some seek the greatest hunt of all. Some seek the truth. But for the ambitious young scientist Victoria Stewart this is a voyage to uncover the fate of the sister she lost.

Whatever the truth may be, it will only be found below the waves.

But the secrets of the deep come with a price.

Starting Bid: $10

Shipping: to the United States and Canada only, because of publishing rights.

Other Notes: this will be delivered at a later date, as Orbit doesn’t have the galleys yet. Optional personalization available.

Auction reminder and update

First: a reminder that Con or Bust is accepting items for auction now through Sunday, April 23. This is the main way we raise funds to help fans of color/non-white fans attend SFF cons, so please consider offering something or spreading the word. You can find more information about how to offer at the Auction Information page, and submit something at the web form.

Second: if you’ve submitted something before today and you haven’t received an email telling you it was posted, please check the site to see if it’s up. With one exception that the donor and I have already discussed, everything I’ve received has been posted, and I believe confirmation emails went to everyone too. But I just learned that our recent website glitches extended to eating at least two auction submissions, to my great joy and delight, so please check.

Third: Con or Bust will be moving webhosts in the next day or so. From now until we’re all set up, auction submissions will be taken through a trusty Google Form (embedded at the old URL). This will cause a delay in your post being published, but should mean no lost data.

I’m incredibly sorry for the technical difficulties, and look forward to reporting back that they’re solved. Thanks so much.
