(And yes, I still have The Shadow Rising hanging in my living room, and it still looks awesome.)
In response to this year’s Hugo nominations [*], a few people have inquired on Twitter whether Con or Bust would consider funding supporting (that is, voting but not attending) memberships to WorldCons, or whether Sasqaun (this year’s WorldCon) might consider donating money from supporting memberships to Con or Bust. I am grateful for people’s confidence in Con or Bust, but must decline both suggestions, for the reasons I will put behind a “Read more” cut, so I don’t have to try and break it down to 140-character chunks.
Con or Bust remains committed to helping non-white fans/fans of color attend SFF cons, including Sasquan; here are ways to support that goal, including Con or Bust’s annual auction, which is accepting offers now. In addition, Con or Bust is still looking for a transferred attending membership to Sasquan; please email email@example.com if you have one available. (Edit April 15: a membership has been obtained, thank you, donor.)
